Cheryl Botts

Cheryl Botts completed her undergraduate work at SUNY Brockport where she received a double major, a B.A. degree in Spanish as well as in Modern Dance. She attended Universidad de Salamanca Spain, living there for 8 months. In her now 22-year career of teaching Spanish, Cheryl has taught preschoolers through college age students. She obtained her M.A. at SUNY Binghamton in 1992. Her thesis was a study on Mayan-speaking families and culture in the Yucatan, Mexico. Cheryl received a grant in 1996 and taught for one year in Chile through the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program. She continues to build a business teaching adults and children. She also owns a guesthouse in Danby. Cheryl lives in Danby with her son, Nico. She teaches private classes and tutors children of all ages.
