Suzanne Nussbaum
Latin 9 - 12 year olds
Suzanne Nussbaum has a BA in Latin and Greek from Barnard College, and MA and M. Phil. Degrees in Classics from Yale. She taught Latin, Greek and classical studies at Yale, the University of Cincinnati, and Hobart-William Smith. She then taught Latin at Ithaca High School for two years before becoming a mother. Her two children were enrolled at Montessori when the opportunity to teach Latin with us arose. Suzanne has been teaching Latin at our school since 1997. Currently Suzanne divides her time and her Latin teaching between our school and Ithaca High School. She enjoys handing down to a new generation the knowledge of the ancient language and culture she learned from her teachers.
