Upper Level
January in Upper Level brings big adventures as students begin a 3 month long research project.
Topics chosen this year range from mantis shrimp, ice cream, store design and Disney, to guinea pigs and the history of numbers.
Students pose guiding, open-ended questions to focus their research. They gather resources, craft an outline and dig in to see what fascinating information they can uncover.
Friday marked our third year students inaugural visit to the Head Start program at Longview. Each group will visit 3 times and spend an hour engaging with the children served by this childcare center.
Our students were all smiles as they held hands with new friends during a nature walk, and played a raucous game of tag with their young charges before reading stories and helping kids settle in for a nap.
